Default Few odd questions

Just had a few things crossing my mind, so here goes...

1) I was looking at a V6 Lemans wagon today at work, and I wondered, does the fact that the motor sits so far back, compared to a V8 or straight six, help weight transfer at all? What makes those cars so good anyway?

2) Why is there so much discussion about two-steps? I am assuming meaning rev limiter? Are they necessary, particularly in the lower classes? For that matter, can a footbrake guy do alright in Stock, or what do you all recommend?

3) Anybody on here a good slant six guy to talk to?

4) Does a Stocker have to be pretty? I mean, I like a good looking, straight, neatly painted race car as much as the next guy, but is it necessary? Maybe it's my old dirt-tracker mentality...make it a good 20 footer...err...make that a 50 footer...

Just some random thoughts, sound off as you all please...

Thanks!

Wagons are good because they hook like crazy. With all that overhang in the back, weight transfer is wonderful, plus you can go shopping after a hard days racing. And as far as aesthetics go, think about it; if you are fast and ugly you get respect; if you are slow but pretty, poser. Kick enough tail in your class and looks do not matter at all. Win the class and you are feared. I prefer clean and simple, but it has to kick butt period. The most dangerous racer is the one that comes to the track in a car that people automatically write off because it does not have the "look", lines up, runs way under index, but looks a heap. That gets more attention than anything.
