Re: In Car Camera's
I've seen some cool video and want to try that too. I like the rearward facing view. You see the starting line get smaller.

Re: In Car Camera's
My brother gave me a lip-stick camara and I used it once. Good picture, but it picks up ignition noise. I'll look for a better one, because clips from inside are fantastic.

Re: In Car Camera's
We've put them in a few cars I've raced. Here they are. In the camaro, it was a normal Sony handheld digital video camero. In the dragster and vette, don't remember the brand, but it was the smallest pos digital camera we could find. Not any bigger than a wallet.
'69 Camaro. This was a 9.12 pass. http://www.agbulletracing.com/Videos/04video1.wmv '04 Worthy dragster Forward vid was a 7.60 http://www.agbulletracing.com/Videos/d8wmv.wmv and backwards. Only 1/8th mile run, so probably about a 4.80 or so. http://www.agbulletracing.com/Videos...back%20wmv.wmv '06 Don Davis corvette This pass was an 8.12 http://www.agbulletracing.com/Videos...%20@%20165.wmv

Re: In Car Camera's
No. Never did hit the limiter. Never noticed it until we put the camera in it. We were fighting carb issues all year until we had one built by Stinnett. Not sure if that was the problem or not. After Stinnett built one, got the car down to 9.01 without any more issues.

Re: In Car Camera's
How did you go about securing your camera in the camaro?

Re: In Car Camera's
Used a splint ring hanger, used to secure pipes. Similar to this ---> http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/items/5E589
There is a hole tapped out on top in that pic, used a piece of sheet metal, bolted it into that hole, then another bolt coming through the sheet metal into the bottom of the camera. Doesn't look the best, but it works. Put some foam rubber inside the clamp to help with vibration. Same mount we used in the dragster and vette, just with a smaller camera.
