![]() ![]() I know guys who use them and don't have fuel delivery problems, but they only flow 90GPH at 0.5PSI pressure drop, and my pump is supposed to flow 140GPH. My combination isn't anything crazy, but I don't want to use mismatched parts. I think maybe I should get a System1 p/n 200-201408: they say it flows 10GPM (600GPH), and the element is washable.

I had one of those given to me years ago, from a Fram rep. I sold it because I did not want to chance any restriction with my old tricked up Holley Blue (110 gph) pump. Used a BG filter model # 5000 , I think and had no issues.

I have one we have run since the 70s. Ours has a paper element we change every decade or so. Its currently running behind two Holley "black" fuel pumps with no apparent restriction.
Good Luck, Bill |

I have been running one for over 10 years along with a black Holley pump. Never a problem.

My pump is an Aeromotive p/n 11203, and the directions say I'm supposed to put a 100 micron (about 0.004") filter on the suction side. If I do that, do I need to run a finer mesh filter after the pump, or would just the 100 micron filter be sufficient?

Jeff Stacy at Aeromtive explained that additives in the fuel we use will break down the paper element and the adheisives used to form them. Thus contaminating your fuel system.
Follow his suggestion, He's right! |
