Paul,

As an alternate I would add the oft maligned 426S powered '64 Savoy, 4 speed with 4.10 Suregrip. While this combo might not make a great race car the literally ruled the streets in the part of Jersey that I lived in, besides it was much more streeable than the other combo's.

Perhaps you could make it "eight" with the '62 Savoy 413 Max Wedge cars

During my high school days in auto shop we often worked on teachers cars.......One of my friends and I got to drive a teachers new car.......1964 Plymouth Fury Convertible. 426 with a single 4 barrel I believe it was with a 4 speed.....black with a red interior....

That car was pretty fast and my friend just about spun it around on a "test drive".......he was a notorious nut behind the wheel and the teacher was a "cool guy" stud......gym teacher and coach......We blew the rear in a Valiant one day.........stick 6 couldn't take the "test drive"

I would make the '70 or '71 HemiCuda a convertible, 4 speed 410 Dana, in triple black, or a high impact color. The ragtop may be heavier, but it's a great retirement package.

Frank, you made some great choices...especially where the Savoy & the '63 to'67 Belvedere's are concerned. However, after seeing how good my bud Angelo Phillips '68 GTX looks and runs, I'd like to add that and the wild (mini-Belvedere) Valiant with the wild 273 that's big block quick, to my list (like the 10 second stocker this site ran a thread on 3-5mths ago)!

I think a very rare 65' Coronet should be added to the list.
The one, the Dodge techs designed for the Canadien Can-Am race
across Canada (Toronto-to-Vancouver).
A 426 Hemi, with single 4-barrel cross-ram.
Modified off-road suspension.
Twin gas tanks in the trunk (40-gallon each)??
Cream colored base, red roof.
Bubble gum light on roof, and spot-light on driver-side door.

1970 / 1971 conv is the one to have
426 ci Hemi equipped 'Cuda models was 652 hardtops (368 with torqueflight and 284 with four-speed) and 14 convertibles (9 with an automatic and 5 with a four-speed).

1971 production of the 440 ci 'Cuda "six pack" was 237 hardtops and 17 convertibles. 426 ci Hemi 'Cuda was only 108 hardtops (48 with TorqueFlight and 60 with four-speed) and 9 convertibles, 7 sold domestically (5 with automatic and 2 with four-speed), and 2 sold and shipped to Europe. 8 of the 9 1971 426 ci Hemi 'Cuda convertibles have been accounted for and restored, the last one is said to have been scrapped in the late 70's in either the Phoenix area, or New Jersey area

My "Hemi " story.
In about March of 65 on a Friday night, I went to a down town Dodge dealer with the order form for a '65 Hemi Car. Ruth gave me the O.K.
I asked him for some 'help" , after showing him our record with our 59 Pontiac, he said 'sure' to my surprise, but come back Saturday morning & we would fill out the papers and sign a "deal"
When I got their about 8:30 am, the place was covered with cops.
"What happen I asked" to a cop.
He said the owned had shot himself last night, I said I had talked to him about 8:00 pm,
So they asked me a lot of ?'s..

We ended up buying a 65 Chevy Impala 283 4speed car two door hardtop.
