Engineering At Its Best
My Matt Shurman story.......Matt and I purchased this Blazer that we intend to run in S/C at Reading. We are going to chop the top off to make it a roadster and then mount the engine in the back. Matt came up with the great idea of towing the trailer to the track with the new race car. No motorhome needed. We can live in the trailer all weekend. This will be the first Blazer Roadster to try to win Best Engineered. I think the tech guys will love this brilliant engineering feat that we designed and are building in Matt's backyard. It has been difficult work with Matt talking so much but his new muzzle has taken care of that problem. We will also be announcing a major sponsorship program with Skittles since Regis has moved on to Tootsie Rolls (the large size).

Re: Engineering At Its Best
This particular "marvel" of engineering will certainly be crafted by John and myself, as he previously stated. I am alittle concerned about spying on this project from some of the upper crust of chassis shops, so the location of the car will be keep closely guarded by John's doberman pincher.
AP wireservice and the NY Times should cover the debut of this ride at the Maple Grove event. In keeping with the high sugar product endorsement of candy,(and WHO doesn't just LOVE candy?) this car will be fueled by a sugar based alcohol fuel. Neither of us want to drive it, so John will dial it and be crew chief and I will take maintenance duties. John is speaking to a few different drivers capable of handling this complex and smooth ride, Sugar Ray Leonard and Sugar Shane Carr. Along those lines, Kool-Aid is being thought of as an associate sponsor. I'm can't talk with the muzzle on but I sure can type. |

Re: Engineering At Its Best
Asta.( For Real ) .....I still can't believe you are still taking shots on this whole engineering award thing still...you must be (ARE) one bitter person inside...
Matt..Congrats on your win at Cecil last weekend.(GREAT JOB).... And how and why would you add fuel to this ongoing issue that apparently ASTA just can't seem to drop... If I would have known all this SH---T was going to happen, I would have left my car in the Trailer so ASTA would have won HANDS DOWN.....So he boldly seems to think. Maybe someone else might have won and then they could have had to deal with the B.S.... Just like racing..Someone has to win and someone has to lose...Apparently losing doesn't wear very good on certain persons..And it shows...... Derek |
