Talking Looking for opinions on Las Vegas restaurants

Heading to Vegas this weekend for a week, and will have to eat my 3 squares a day in a restaurant, would rather them not be at McDonalds.

Any personal experiences, either positive or negative, are welcome.

Looking for some buffet options, cost is of mild concern, as well as normal restaurants. Will have a car so reasonable distances are fine.

Will definately need the requisite prime rib dinner at least once.

Thanks,

Doug

Avoid buffets at all costs! There days of being a value are long gone...unless you weigh 300+ pounds and feel you have to get your money's worth at every sitting. I always find the best meal at the best price the advertised specials available everywhere. That would be things like $9.99 prime rib or ribeye dinner. That's a better meal at almost half the cost of a buffet and they serve you.
And if your racing, there's a place called Memphis BBQ located around the entrance to Nellis AFB. That's reasonably close to LVMS but too far off the strip. Personally I like to gamble at downtown (the original part of the strip). Your $$ will last a lot longer at the tables. Make sure you pick up the free publications found on every street corner for the really hot deals in town!

Have fun...

The steak house in Boulder Station on Boulder Hwy and the freeway into town is good. If you want a high end dinner go to the steakhouse in the Mandalay Bay. Its pricey but well worth it.

Don't forget the Sonic on Flamingo Drive just west of I-15. If you're looking to see a show, check out Danny Gans at the Mirage. Great Impersonater. The Prime Steakhouse at The Bellagio was excellent, also. Have fun and good luck.

Believe me, I know food. The best buffet (quality) is at the Bellagio. 30-50 bones PP depending on the time of year. You will not be disappointed.

If you like Italian food try Nora's 6020 W Flamingo Rd.
Food Network was right.
Best Kept Secret in Vegas.
It''s in a small strip mall, the food is OUTSTADING!

Joe Martens & Bob's son-in-law are "dead-on"about The Bellagio.
The water show out front every half hour is unreal.
Danny Gans was the best show out here, a Must see!
Mamma Mia was great, (showing my age)
Tony Danza in the Producers was ho hum,

Use the half price ticket co. at Coco Cola & M&M to save $$$$
The Luxor Buffet SUX

I wonder how many Hotel chairs the "wheelstanding" wheeler dealer used to save his parking space?
LOL.

Greg, I'll second Nora's on Flamingo. Jeg's chef Nicky turned us on to the place a couple of years ago.Best meatballs in town. I been to vegas too many times but Nora's is the best bang for the buck.I also enjoy Tony Romas about four locations. For the quick fix In and Out Burger Tropicana and the Interstate.
