Ford Lima 2.3L Turbo w/ C4 Trans, Converter?
I have an 88 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe Im getting ready to do a C4 trans conversion to. I have a 2.0/2.3 stock C4 bell and a 70s case fill core trans. Ive been asking around about where to get an aftermarket converter for it. I was told to talk to Coan Racing, Craig over there said they dont have a cover with the correct pilot for my application (.750" dia, 1 5/16" long). Any insight or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to get the car setup for Stock Eliminator and obviously a stock 4 cyl converter is not going to cut it.

Yes, I built a few of those converters.
I started with a stock 10 " cover, I seem to remember. The 9" 245 mm impeller wasn't far off, size wise. The 8 " probably needed a spacer ring. Still, not far off and do-able . Call Kenny Ford at PTC..Tell him I sent you.
