Don't have statistics but Cotton Perry or Paul Mecure would have be candidates for this one. David Nickens had a lot of wins but mostly in an altered class.

Depends on what part of the country your from, as to who you would choose. Carroll Caudle was World Champ, won several national events and set more records than anybody I know, Reher & Morrison did too, Glen Self won his share, as did the Martin Bros. That's just Div 4.

Agree with Ed Wright....depends on what part of the country you're from.

Reher-Morrison is certaintly a good choice, they were one of, if not the most successful, towards the end of MP. Believe Car Craft had an article about them, titled something like, "White Line Fever?"

One of my personal favorites in Div. 3 were the 'Granny Goose' cars ran by Dave Lewis...

I think Carroll Caudle might be my choice. Sure could make the small cube engines sing.

Ronnie Smith D/MP production 55 Chevy. It was some fine racing in that other time. Just wondering if any of the older guys remember this car. These cars aren,t around anymore but what a ride, going consistent 11.90,s with a four speed, quite the task even for the best of drivers. In the days when it was so much fun and the little guy could be up top sometimes. This 55 set the mph record at Amarillo Dragway September 7,1969 -120.46 mph. I only helped with the car but i never realized those days were the best drag racing of this lifetime.Yellow light with the back tires already turning..A lot of those 4 speed guys could do it day in and day out..my hats off to all the guys from the old days that had to wrestle and herd their cars to the end of the track, It was some fine racing, still is if you have one of these cars...lol
