3rd gen Camaro oem panhard bar?
Plan for this car is a mild 350/th350 somewhere near 400hp, bracket racer.
The car has a stock, bent/junk, panhard bar in it now, would a stock replacement bar be enough, or should I upgrade to an aftermarket tubular bar? Is the relocation bracket kit a good option? Thanks. |

Re: 3rd gen Camaro oem panhard bar?
OK, since no one responded, I'll tell you my strategy, and you can critique, if you wish.
I'm going to pull it, straighten and reinforce it, and run it. I'll make a lowering bracket to level it, if I need to, after I get it on the ground. I'm going to install a stock, used 350 just to get on track, see how everything works, and if the car launches and drives straight. Eventually I'll be upgrading a lot of stuff, I may go to a different rear suspension with a different manner of keeping the rear centered, so I don't want to spend money on a new bar that may be discarded later. Thanks |

It is the lower bar, it was bent when I got the car.
I'm going with an aftermarket adjustable bar and an adjustable lowering bracket. |
