I had 12 2 bulb fluorescent lights in my 28' x 36' garage, always problems. I ordered from Amazon enough 5000 LED lumen bulbs with some spares to rebulb the garage, now it's super bright and haven't had any problems. I got the LEDs that don't use the ballast and have new tombstone mountings, this was done 3 years ago, I'm very happy with it.

I got mine at Costco, the Feit 4' when they are $10 off @ $19.99. Great price and great lights. 9 of them in my 24'x24' and it's like daylight.

Does anyone make 8 footers to replace fluorescents? I have 8 2 tube fluoros in my 30 x 60 shop. Would be great to just change the tubes and tombstones not have to rewire for 8 more fixtures.

Who does LEDs to replace 4' T8 fluorescents that are plug and play?

I have 96 4' tubes on my ceiling and really don't want to fool with all that wiring.. The light is great, but I'm about to use my last spares and am wondering if it would be wise to switch.

I bought some on Amazon for my house. Just do a search there. Remember the ballast will still consume power if its not eliminated. They use about 10 watts so 48 two bulb fixtures is about 500 watts

As the hard wired fluorescents fail in my small shop I replace them with plug in LEDs.

It is usually not that hard to install a surface mounted receptacle. A flush mount would certainly be more elegant but not worth the extra effort for me.

I have had one LED fixture fail over the years and it was sure easy to change with the plug.
