CJ torque convertor
Hello,
Does anyone know what stall they use in 2014 C4 Super Cobra Jet powered cars with 3.89 gears? I know they run 8inch Coan but what is its spec? Thanks |

Re: CJ torque convertor
The 2014 SCJ had TH400 transmissions.
I think they were built by Joel's on Joy, in Michigan and I believe the convertors were Coan. |

Re: CJ torque convertor
Being out of the loop for awhile I have been mildly curious about what transmissions the CJ's are using? Did they ever use C4's or just TH400's and PG, err, 2 speeds?

Re: CJ torque convertor
No kidding? So they have never used a C4? I'm going to use a C4 in my car until I can afford a "Man trans" someday. I'm hoping to get at least 40-50 runs between rebuilds. We'll see.

Re: CJ torque convertor
Slightly off topic...
Anyone know of who makes a high stall (5000-6000 up ) converter for the 6R80 six speed trans used in the 11-14' Mustang GT? Can be with or without Lock-Up. TCI , Circle D , and FTI offer them but none above 4200 or smaller than 9.5".. Spoke w/ Charlie at ATI, hasn't seen one yet .....

Re: CJ torque convertor
We ran a Joel’s C4 for 5 years on ours with no issues. Several hundred between freshening. We weren’t as powerful as today’s cars but still went 8.80’s...Never had a failure...
