Quarter Aces Drag-O-Way
Finally the Quarter Aces Drag-O-Way is ready to open for the 2008 season on Sunday May 25th and Monday May 26th. After seven months of hard work and major renovations by new owner Stanley Dye of Carlisle Pa. and his staff and outside contractors, the track is now race ready. Improvements include a widened and lengthened concrete starting line with new burnout boxes, new TSI timing system with plenty of spare parts, new PA system, all new electric service, new staging lanes now located behind the totally
remodeled timing tower, steel observation deck attached to the tower, remodeled food stand, enlarged pit area that has been graded for better pit parking and drainage and new and bigger entrances to get in and out of the facility. More upgrades will follow all-season long. We have had rough weather the last two weeks, several heavy rains have soaked the pit area and hopefully we'll get drier days this week. We thank all of those that have helped, Stanley Dye's crew, the track management and employees and the many volunteers who helped bring this together. Everyone spent a lot of weekends all winter getting this project closer towards completion. We also thank our new sponsor / partners for coming onboard with us. We can't wait to get started! Hope to see all of you this coming Sunday! Gates open 8:30 A.M. time trials start with Junior Dragsters at 10:30 A.M. We are located at 1107 Petersburg Rd. Boiling Springs, Pa. approx 7 miles south of Carlisle, Pa. Check out the website, www.Quarter Aces Drag-O-Way.com Mike Bassin, Track Announcer |

Re: Quarter Aces Drag-O-Way
Jim,
Sunday's race is a reugular Summit Points race for all classes, Monday is a no points day but all classes will compete, Super, Pro, Bike, Street, Trophy, Sport compact, Jr. Dragster. Monday gates open 8:30 AM time trials at 10:30 AM starting with Jr. Dragsters. Also this day will feaure our first in a monthly race called Steet Legal Eliminator. Rules are straight forward, 6.40 or slower dial in, full tree, must have valid registration, proof of insurance, run thru the mufflers, street tires or DOT drag radials etc. ok. This class is designed for the street driven cars that are occasionally raced and drivers that just don't to race with the "regualrs". Hopefully this will be a good outlet for those tempted to street race.We don't yet have approval for a "grudge nite" event. We are going to work on that for 2009. By the way the purse for Street Legal Eliminator is a guaranteed total of $500.00 and entry fee is $25.00. More payout if class goes over well. Jim, thanks for your interest in us. Make sure to see me in the tower when ever you visit us Mike Bassin, Track announcer Quarter Aces Drag-O-Way Home # 717-259-7996 |
