Re: minimum slick to leaf spring clearance
With our radials we have 3/8" clearance & have no issues with rubbing.
While it has been many years since we have run bias slicks. It seems like we had about 1/2" clearance, but also had signs of slight rubbing. I'm sure it was due to turning off at the end of the track & sidewall flex. |

Re: minimum slick to leaf spring clearance
Currently operating Hoosier 9x29 bias ply with about 3/8-1/2 inch clear of the leaf spring. Typically inflated to 12-15 psi on a 9 inch rim. Seems to work fine. The inboard white letters aren’t so white anymore but attribute that to minor rubbing during turns-like 1700camaro alluded to.

Re: minimum slick to leaf spring clearance
All sounds like good guidance, assume you’re running a 10 inch rim?
