You have plenty of time to make your combo fit AA/S. Same for the ‘15 combo. 😁😁

Re: $10,000 AA/S SHOOTOUT at 2024 US NATIONALS
Dirk Olson Racing plans on making this a must go to race! I know my LS Buddies are not too happy with this, but it is the only way that the Carb cars can compete on a level playing field. I want to make a call to arms for all A/S competitors, drop some weight and come play it should be a HOOT! We talked about this at Indy and now it is a reality! I want to thank Kevin and Sean for getting this going!

Re: $10,000 AA/S SHOOTOUT at 2024 US NATIONALS
To be honest, I don’t think any of us could get enough hp hit to fit into AA. The best runs we have ever made were -1.15. It’s not even fast enough to get automatic hp once let alone many times. Just because the LS cars are faster than the carb combos doesn’t mean they are incredibly fast on index.

How can there be special “rules” if you will be racing at the US Nationals. You either fit the class or you don’t! I hope this happens! Should be fun to watch! |

I say they will treat this just like the Hemi Challenge. A race within a race. If that’s the case they can change rules. When I talked to Lonnie the national tech director he said if other classes start bitching about special rules for this race he said to say “ I am not racing against you this weekend “

Re: $10,000 AA/S SHOOTOUT at 2024 US NATIONALS
A different set of rules than NHRA provides for AA/S?
So a racer could enter G/SA in one car and enter AA/S in a different car? Last edited by Larry Hill; 10-28-2023 at 09:36 AM. |
