Techwest upgrades
Is Techwest still doing MSD upgrades?
Has anybody used Techwest services? And what did you think of your upgraded box?

Re: Techwest upgrades
I had a 6al box done by him 6 months ago, he was great to deal with and had fast service. I have not installed the box yet so I don't have a back to back comparison with my stock one. He was very informative on the phone and I would use him again.

Re: Techwest upgrades
I have an MDS 6AL that he did for me about 6 years ago. It has been in three build ups including the Super 10. It performs as expected.

Re: Techwest upgrades
Jeff,
I do not know about gains because with the first time using the modified box it was in a new combination. My reason for using Tech West; *He was recommended by several racers *On the phone he was polite and I liked what he explained about the upgrades. *Once he explained that the upgrades are installing some higher rated components I thought his modifications might lead to a longer lasting box. To be fact driven a fellow would need to do ABA test with Dyno or on-track or both. I have not done that. My gut feeling [without data to back it up] is that if an ignition systems is operating at the necessary level for your race package there is no performance beyond that level. Yet, there could be secondary benefits like better starting, better idle or better low speed performance. again, it is only my hunch.
