As the title says, what does a racer selling a stocker refer to when he mentions "Bracket Mode". Thanks in advance

Re: Bracket mode?
That it's not on kill and should have more left in it.

Re: Bracket mode?
In the mode that it is normally raced.
Typical fluid levels and viscosity, regular water temperature, starting line RPM, etc.

Re: Bracket mode?
Minimum weight, minimum amount of oil in the pan, air pressure as high as possible in the tires and as cold as you get the water temperature and Jim Marshall would never do this but ice down the intake.

Re: Bracket mode?
Couldn't resist. That's where you put in less, lighter oil, chill the engine, adjust the starting RPM line up, maybe some timing. Remove any extra ballast..... And the car picks up less than just removing the weight would... Last edited by Tom Broome; 09-13-2024 at 06:36 PM. Reason: accuracy |
