BB Mopar Stocker RPM?
Stock Eliminator big-block Mopars... 426 Hemi, 426 MW, 440 6BBL... wondering how many RPM those things get spun given the relatively unsophisticated oil system using factory-type pans. Thx

Re: BB Mopar Stocker RPM?
I managed to dig up a couple of data points off an older Speed Talk thread for A/SA and B/SA Hemi cars that Larry Meaux provided
- the A/SA B-body made 650 HP at 7000 - the B/SA E-body made 640 HP at 6900 No mention of shift RPM or what they were turning in the traps, though |

Re: BB Mopar Stocker RPM?
Over the years we changed a bunch of stuff in the oiling system. A restriction or two, opened up passages, changed pickup location, and different baffles. Highest finish line rpm was 72xx at Maple Grove in A/SA with the six pack.
A lot of the stuff we tried showed no gain or hurt performance. Last edited by Larry Hill; 01-19-2024 at 08:11 AM. |

Re: BB Mopar Stocker RPM?
I’ve been 7300+ with a Max Wedge in B.
Hemi’s run approx 1000 RPM more than that.

Re: BB Mopar Stocker RPM?
I've been 7200 in B with my Max Wedge and I didn't like the way it sounded.
