"Chinese automaker made bid for Fiat Chrysler: report"
http://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/2...er-report.html What would you have said, standing in the staging lanes back in the sixties, had someone suggested that one day, the commies would own one of our beloved big 3? |

I don't see this being much different than the Mercedes & Fiat purchases. As long as the company stays in business, that's the most important factor,...lots of jobs.
Thanks, Ron |

All three are going down the tube if they don't start making a product that stays out of the shop. Of course that might be their agenda, I know on FCA after the 2013 model one can't get any electrical part from a junk yard because the vin numbers are encrypted into the original part. Junk yard part won't erase it's original number. They got ya. I think my 15 Challenger has 10 different moduals, all coded to the vin. What a nightmare if bought by China.

Of course they're not our friends! But FCA (and GM and Ford) have been selling vehicles in China for a while now, and we have China to thank for saving Buick! It's all about money anyway, and the Jeep brand is hot right now!

It was a very popular car especially in the up and coming mega cites Singapore and Hong Cong. It was a tough car and fit the rugged country side well too. |
