The federal government started this program about 15 years ago and there is funding that goes to states that participate in the education of law enforcement officers for the very purpose of taking out the bad apples that traverse our country everyday. Most of the safety laws concerning the vehicles is pretty sound. The portions of law that concern over length, who needs a CDL based upon the use of vehicle and what exactly defines these matters is not clear. In large police departments, they have dedicated units that enforce these laws. In smaller departments they send a few to these classes and they enforce part time due to man power issues. These units or individuals, who enforce these laws are educated with whatever laws that passed from sub par bills. Now if you think for a minute that when the stink hits the fan, that these law enforcement officers will not respond to any matter regardless if it is a major incident or a minor accident then you are sadly mistaken. They are out there their every day and night doing their jobs, whatever they might be, not for personal gain but to provide a piece of mind for their residents and that they will look out for their well being. I won't defend the crummy laws surrounding these issues, but it is someones job to enforce them because it is their mandate. The only way to make the necessary change, is for persons like Mr. Mackie to pursue the appeal process and get in touch with their state politicians and discuss these incidents. It is a pain in the *** to do these things, but it will never change if apathy is applied to these incidents. In conclusion, I state that it is you Sir that is misinformed. Good luck with your anarchistic views, it will take you far. I will be at Bowling Green, Indy and Belle Rose in the coming weeks if you wish to persuade me to your way of thinking. Better yet, don't waste your time on me, I won't change my way of thinking or misinforming others.

Good post Steve, but why bother. You would get a more understanding conversation with a corn muffin than this fruit loop.

OK boys!!! I think it is either time to put this thread to sleep or get back to the original topic, we have digressedfrom the original subject.

Motorhome rules for the most part are coverd under antiquated rules that were put into effect many years ago originally for the over the road trucking industry---A UNIFORM seperate set of rules needs to be implemented that will provide for the public safety and satisfy the motoring publics needs. Larger vehicles such as motorhomes with or without trailers/5th wheel pick up combinations and toterhomes towing trailers all need to be looked at and included in these new regulations so that users traveling from one state to another can be assured that the vehicle they are using will comply with that states traffic rules--These rules and regulations should cover not only all forms of racing but enthusiasts in other sports/hobbies etc.-Comp

PS I will be at the IHRA D4 Crandall race in September if you care to find me we can discuss this further in person.
You should have an appreciation for what I do then...I Make things.... I create wealth as opposed to oppressing the people with a policeman discretion of enforcing the laws they choose to enforce on any given day...You want to be a real cop? Then get out of the car! Real cops walk the beat!

Traffic stop in the middle of the night...ROFLMAO! You guy make me lol, seriously...

Here's a fact...The city of Detroit has the most unsolved murders in the country...Who do you think is getting away with all these murders, cops! You guys are in a union together and lie under oath and make yourselves out to be something you are not, indeed!

man, i was trying to stay out of this one but jason ,you are WAY out of line, i would be the first to agree there are people in law enforcement that really do the job no justice, but its the same in any other field of employment,i am personal friends with many in law enforcement and they will be the first to tell you there are bad apples anywhere,in anything you do,yeah i guess a bad cop can make alot of misery for people but then again a piss poor doctor probably could and is just as bad. flame on pal

Jason,

Don't know where you get your facts, but your unsolved murders fact is false. Detroit is bad but there are two others that are ahead of Detroit. Ed Carpenter did not call you Sir, I did. It will never happen again. I would like to call you something else but really don't want to be banned. I won't get into a whizzing contest with you. Your comments are insulting, especially the lying part.

Do you wear that mask when you hold up little old ladies for their social security checks?

I'm usually a silent observer on here. There are a few people on ClassRacer that I know personally. At the track, I can walk up to their trailer, grab a drink and enjoy their company for a few minutes. Jason Fuller, I'm glad you're not one of them. Richard Lyon, Glasgow, KY
