Isn't there some sort of insurance coverage at NHRA sanctioned tracks?

Kudos to our RFC chaplain Mitch for going to the hospital and keeping tabs on the drivers. If it wasn't for him some of the ones that followed would not have known anything about their condition.
Thank you, Mitch, I hope you're around if, God forbid, anything ever happens to me.

Contact info for DRAW from the web:
http://www.drawfasthelp.org/dw-contact1.cfm Here are the details for insurance coverage. http://www.nhra.com/insuranceinfo.aspx I suspect a phone call to his Division Rep would be the best place to begin: http://www.nhradiv7.com/ |

That policy sounds like excellent coverage UNTIL the insurance underwriters start telling you that this isn't covered and that is covered only after you pay a XXX deductible and then there's a XXX co pay.I hope, for Ken's sake, the policy is as straight forward as it seems.
No one mentioned if he was air lifted out of the track. That's where the $$$ is.It can go into the 10s of thousands.I have a policy, through the Nat'l Rifle Assoc. that covers alot of incedentals, including being air lifted in an emergency. It's a scary but comforting thing to have, just in case. Again,a speedy recovery to Ken.

Cad: Thanks for the info....I have E mailed your suggested contacts. Ed: He was flight for life to hospital. We were with Ken till closing time. He is awake and much more alert. They have not given him much information as of yet. He asked me to accept Julie Jordan's gracious offer of help administering any offered help Details to follow as available. ken has a surgery on his jaw area scheduled later today, please keep him in your prayers. My son tells me they really haven't told him much about what is going on. His mother and sister are staying with him pretty much full time.

I made it home yesterday after my surgery on Friday. I'm still in a lot of pain but I'm hoping on a speedy recovery and hopefully I can get the cast off my arm so I can type better. I will post more details after I get a little more better and thank all of you for your prayers and wishes.
