All q jets need to be Modified before using on a stocker. There is no such thing as a GOOD out of the box edelbrock Q jet.. Jim Boburka and Danny Ashley no longer do them. I believe Mike McDonald still does them AND he does excellent work. Dean O also has an excellent reputation with Q jets …

I highly recommend Mike McDonald to blueprint your Q-Jet. He can be reached at Eight one 2 six 77 ten 97.

We ran 1.31 under and held the National Record
with a 1900 series Edelbrock unmodified with
just the normal tuning/jetting work done on our
360 Mopar truck. That was the only experience
I have with Quadrajets (not common on Mopar Stockers)
It was better than any of the production carbs that I had
professionally reworked and the drivability was better as well.

That right there is a ringing endorsement if I've ever seen one.

We are working on new legal Q-Jets, and tuning parts. It's not easy, or quick, to do that sort of thing right now. But we are trying.

Mike had the number one qualifier at the 40th, the 50th, and the 60 th US Nationals. Mr. Mike is very good. I always thought he showed me good value for the dollar.
