Default part# 34G10 Griner billet Valve body in a TH400

I'm running a part# 34G10 Griner billet aluminum Transbrake Valve body in a GM Turbo 400.
I know they are no longer made. My question is, does anyone have a source for a replacement solenoid? TIA...

Is it an external solenoid or an internal solenoid ? You may be able to call up Coan and ask them also .

you might try Cope Racing Transmissions in Indiana 219 -374- 0100---he has made a "new" solenoid that replaces the Griner unit for some Transmissions not sure if a TH 400 is one--- but his unit uses a new machined aluminum billet solenoid housing and a common Powerglide solenoid--- as you know Griner died a while back and the solenoids he supplied HE PERSONALLY made each and every one so the source and the secrets went to the grave with him---I would call Cole and see if he can help since no one else seems to be making solenoids any more--- Good luck FED 387

The system is so simple , can you tell if the solenoid is shorted or is an open circuit ? Is the connection to 12v complete or is it possible the transbrake switch is not making contact ?
