Default Help from a racer

I want to say a special thanks to Jimmy Blankenship and John Livingston.

Yesterday my van quit running on I-24 just south of Nashville TN as my wife and I were headed home to Louisville. I checked out a few things on it but could not diagnose the problem. After a few phone calls I was able to get hold of Div 2 racer John Livingston. He put me in touch with his crew chief Jimmy Blankenship.

In a short time Jimmy showed up with test equipment and soon pinpointed the ignition problem. Jimmy went to get the parts and in no time the van was fixed. We were once again on the road having been down for less than two hours altogether.

The great network of dragracers we have across the country willing to help out each other in a time of need is something I cannot say enough about. Again I want to say thank you to Jimmy and John.

Travis

What a great success story. This is what it all about, the racers we come in contact with become a family that we can always count on

John and my dad were very good friends back in the 60's. Actually I use to call him "UNCLE JOHN" when I was a kid.

Herb McCandless Jr

Ask John about the night he had to PEE real bad right befroe a one lane bridge.
