I know that we went to Reynolds Ga this weekend instead of the Dutch and they only collect $150.00 at the gate for a Divisional Event. That means the NHRA Div1 Collects 18,000 more than any other division and only pays out 500.00 more per clas for a win? WTF? Remember this is a hobby we dont do this for money so they can screw us |

Yikes... IHRA Divisionals are $125-$135 depending on the Division, and nationals are $190 (including the $40 insurance surcharge)

$190.00 for nationals????? I paid $240.00 this year for S/ST at Joliet 66 Nationals.
and that included the extra insurance we all ready have from NHRA... Not Honest Racing Assoc. I never did understand the extra $40.00 for ins.... The Track has insurance,NHRA has insurance,We get insurance through HNRA... So who get's the extra $40.00 Lee Lones The Doughboy

Chris, you forgot to include the $10 insurance for pit vehicles. This is also a big joke because, if you look at the form you have to sign, it states that you (the person signing for form) "hereby assumes full responsibility for and assumes the risk of bodily injury, death or property damage arising out of or related to the use of said vehicle whether caused by the negligence of oener and /or their operators, Raceway, other pit vehicle operators or otherwise." So why are we giving the track $10? I have been told for adminstrative work.

The $10 for pit vehichles is BS. Ask 5 different officials and you get 5 different answers.
I was told it was to control the under age users, again BS, look around the pits, no one controls the under age users. We are supposed to have our class and car number on the pit vehicle that should be enough to identify the pit vehicles owner if needed.

I cant tell ya what divisionals paid in 07 (national only) however in 05 i was good for at least 2500. And I didn't get paid for a bunch. Now that I think about it we should start a TRASH POST and the racers can post and TRASH the companies that DO NOT PAY! So everyone knows what companies to equipt their cars with.

My impression was that Carl was looking for just the purse paid by NHRA, not including contingencies. But, I could be wrong. Anyway, if that's what they were asking, its about $1,000 per class, plus or minus a couple hundred bucks. And like Chris said, around $3K once THEORETICAL contingencies are included.
Let the contingency sponsor bashing begin...
