This allows fluid to be removed and dumped from converter. Now you can run a tight converter for mph and adjust stal at starting line. Kit is ready powerglide and T400 trans
We've had a lot of requests for this item, and we've finally finished it; our Pro Series Powerglide torque converter dump valve kit!! This kit is now available under part number HP6217. We're offering this kit as an upgrade on all of our Powerglide transmissions as well as a complete DIY kit for those customers who would like to add a dump valve to their own Powerglide. We're finishing up the solenoid mounting brackets and plumbing kits as we speak, and will be shipping kits out starting next week!! A dump valve offers increased stall speed while staging against the transbrake, faster engine & converter response, and reduced loading against the engine thrust bearing. The dump valve can also be applied down track in order to help manage load on the engine as well as power application to the rear tires. Call 1-800-274-RACE to learn more today!! There are not too many of us still running a powerglide in stock and superstock any more. I still do but would like to move to a good light weight 3 speed. I cant see any good reason why it shouldn't be allowed
