Edelbrock 60917 head

Admittedly, I'm new to this class racing stuff, but having done some research, I figured I'd ask the experts here. The G/S Dodge I'll be racing has the Eddy 60917's, but according to the classification guide, it's also an allowable replacement head on the Max Wedge cars too? I assumed that porting, or opening up the intake port to Max Wedge size wouldn't be permissible, nor do I see the 60917 offered with a Max Wedge port. Just gathering intel for a possible future move to A/S. Thanks.

They work very well to remove 40 pounds from engine, but are a lot of work.
