That should make some happy faces.

Great move by Dave and crew in D-1. Real pretty area. Views of the hills etc. Greatly enjoyed the two combo in the hills events there a few years back. Thanks Michael, Lee and Brian for putting them on, now I have a excuse to go back.

Eric

So where will the Summer Nationals be held? Another national event at MG or can Virginia get ready to host?

From what I've heard that D1 & NHRA are working very hard at putting together another National Event to replace the Summers for this year. I don't know if you'll see something this year because I think like all of us the E-town closing caught everyone with their pants down including NHRA and now you have to take a storied event and try to market the heck out of it in 4 months and bring the facility up to par. I know Virginia is getting a whole new surface put in and they started yesterday with the milling and paving. I think Tommy & Judy Franklin who bought the place will have it back up to a top notch facility cause everything they have is beautiful and I think they bought another track also down south.

I have been seeing on Facebook that people are complaining about the Numidia race being on top of the Bristol National Event. What I'm confused about is the E-town D1 race was scheduled on top of Bristol since they announced the schedule in November and not a peep from anyone about it, now Dave & Crew fight to get everyone a 7th race to make up for E-town and get Numidia and everyone is like "What the heck were they thinking" "Why couldn't it be at another date". I think we all just need to be glad that Dave & The DiMino Family put together a race for everyone to run at so we don't have to travel out of Division for 2 races. Another thing is Bristol is ONLY taking 55 cars per class, so 2/3rd will be D2 cars and not all the D1 invaders will get in. So THANK YOU Dave M. & Bob, Vinny, Rob Dimino for stepping up to the plate.

You are right Rob, historically most entries at Bristol are from D2 and D3 in Stock and SS atleast. I don't see much to complain about there. I would love to see a National back at Dinwiddie, its not the market of Etown obviously but I would hate for that event to be moved out west somewhere.
