What is the preferred distance between the flexplate and convertor pads when the convertor is all the way engaged in the pump? I know it's less than the other turbo's and am thinking A-1 told me a few years back around .100. Just want to make sure. Thanks for your response.

all depends on the over all height of the converter.1/8 to 1/4 at the most.As long as the hub is still all the way in the pump gear all should be good.

Basically you want the converter about an 1/8 inch from bottoming out on the pump lugs. With the converter bottomed out on the pump, measure the lug to flexplate distance, subtract 1/8 inch (.125) and that is the spacer(s) needed. That is how I installed mine and no issues.
