Is anyone running this combo and if so who does a good Rochester 2 barrel carb? Just researching what other classes my car may fit into and the combo looks very similar to the 350/175/287 except for the carb and manifold being 2 barrel instead of 4. Has anyone had success with the 2 barrel version in N/SA? Thanks in advance.

Not with a 73! It uses a smaller carb that 69-70.

It's a fun combination to race. But you will never get to the top of the sheet with it. Removing a quadrajet and replacing with a two barrel will cost a little over 80 horsepower. In very good air, you could expect to run about .60 under the index in a good car.

Thanks Billy and Bruce for the input. The combo looks to be similar but I never knew what loss to expect with the carb/manifold swap. I should have it out soon and see what my baseline is.
