I am only a bracket racer. I have heard different opinions about converters have heard you should send them back to be freshen up and others say to just run them till they break cause if you send it back it never comes back the same. just wonder what you thoughts/opinions are on this matter. Mine is a 8" ATI that has been in my 6.70's 1/8th mile bracket car this is the 11th season. Wondering what I should do with it.

This is just my opinion. I find the best value in selling a used converter and buying new. I use ATI and I would sell that one and order a new ATI. Price a new one, price a rebuild and do the math.

Good maintenance is the best value for your race car.
The converter is one of the most punished parts in a drag car. I get mine freshened every 2-3 years by ATI. Always come back the same. A 200 dollar freshen (plus shipping) is way cheaper than a new custom 8" converter that costs almost a grand. Besides breaking sucks when you are at the track.
