What Transmission Fluid are you using in your metric 200?
Brand? Synthetic? Weight? And Why? Thanks. J.R. Haddad. |

I run Lucas Oil semi-synthetic fluid in my m200 trans. It's a great product and I've never had any problems with it. The Lucas trans fluid seems to protect the trans and converter as well, if not better than any other fluid out there.
The Lucas family also does a lot for sportsman drag racing so I like to support those that support us. Plus it isn't a super high priced product either! Drew Whalen |

In the 200R4 trans we run Dex 6, most builders are recommending it today. It is also backwards compatible with other Dex fluids

The comments from Drew also reflect my experience. The Lucas semi-synthetic ATF has given excellent service for me in several different combinations.
In addition, my experience with Lucas motor oils and gear oils is also very good.

I agree with post #6 #7 and #8. Unless it is something like a honda or a LATE model clutch to clutch unit, transmission fluid is not very specific.
