Default Quick Stock question about seats

Hello all.
Just a quick question about Stock.

Do the seat have to remain stock items or could you sub them for Kirkey type seats?

Not about weight or anything just comfort in this particular type body.

Thanks in advance

Aftermarket seats are fine, but they both have to be the same. I'm not sure if the rule interpretation means identical seats like two Kirkeys or identical configurations like a Kirkey and a similar knockoff for the passenger side.

See what Ken did in his Shelby...I'm going to follow his lead on this one.

"Full-size aftermarket or corporate OEM front seats permitted; must be upholstered and supported. Driver and passenger-side seats must be identical in appearance. See General Regulations 6:2."

Aftermarket seats in most late model cars look pretty good...put the same seats in a first gen Camaro or Nova and it looks like hell with the lid off.

I've also been told by a very reliable source that unless the vehicle was available from the factory with a "bucket-seat option" the after-market racing seats are not allowed. Most wagon's and 4-doors fall into this area.
