Buckeye S/SS @ Quaker City Aug 3rd.

A reminder next Saturday Aug.3rd is the next Buckeye Stock/SuperStock Drag Racing Series race at Quaker City Motorsports Park in Salem Oh. The series features NHRA and IHRA Stock and Super Stock entries as well as Nostalgia Super Stockers that run varios series for those cars.
I am waiting on a call from Norm Fox at Quaker City to get the gate times and time trial times ect. I will pass that information along as soon as it is available.
There are currently 6 drivers that are qualified for the Championship Shootout at Columbus. We will take 16 total. Winners and runner ups from each race are qualified.There will be at least 6 open spots after all of the races are completed.The rest of the field will be made up from the points. If you did well in points , and are not qualified for the shootout, you may get in based on where you finish in points. There are two races left before the field is set so you have time to try to get into the Championship Shootout.
I have e-mailed out the points to many of you. We will get the points posted on the website www.buckeyerace.com so everyone else can review the current standings.
Quaker City Motorsports Park traditionally has good traction and this year there is new concrete that I hear has teeth. Plan to attend this great event.
Also with our group of racers will be the UMTR stick shift racers and the MDRA racers.

This weekend ,Saturday Aug. 3rd we will be at Quaker City Raceway Park in Salem OH. Gates will open at 11:00 am. Time trials/qualifying will likely start around noon.

There will also be the UMTR stick shift group there as well. A gamblers race will also be contested. The MDRA will also be there (motorcycles I believe) racing.

There are no regular brackets that day, just a gamblers race and the three groups mentioned above.

Jeff, Is it OK for the stock and super stock stick cars to enter both the Buckeye series and UMTR series ?

We don't have a problem with that. Racers will have to manage getting to the staging lanes when the class call goes out. As long as they can do that, we are good to go.

Buckeye S/SS racers will be let thru the gate and racers will come to my trailer (there will be a Buckeye S/SS banner on the side of it) and pay your $100 and get a tech card. Crew and / or spectators that come with you will pay the spectator fee at the gate.
