As part of our maintainance schedule we want to replace our U - joints. What brand name u - joint is the best quality to use? Spicer Heavy Duties were the hot ticket years ago but not sure now.

Regardless of the brand DO NOT use a joint with a Zerk (grease) fitting-- they are hollow inside and much weaker

Thanks for the info. I was told the same thing by a friend. Also, under extreme conditions the grease will leak out of the zerk.

Spicer solid u-joints are the best in my book with a billet pinion yoke because they can spread over time..
