I know there are some very "TODAY" boxes out there and this stuff is "OLD" but I have 2 NOS 833 Hemi boxes one is still in the original shipping crate. Both race prepped, one from Nash and one from Liberty both with shifters one Hurst Super Shifter the other a Mr.Gasket Vertical Gate. I also have several NOS Zoom and McLeod clutches from the late 70's early 80's. Question is what do you do with this stuff today? I'd love to put a stick in one of my cars. How can you use this stuff today? Perhaps a modern clutch that wouldn't be as violent? Or will this stuff be forever conversation pcs.? Both of these transmissions where for an old B/MP Chevelle which I still have. I wouldn't mind putting it back together some day. Any thoughts? Thanks Doug

There are plenty of racers that want those transmissions, even street racers. The problem is not so much in breaking those transmissions after awhile, but in finding parts. They can be found, just not as easily as in 1970.
With two A833's, you may have enough to sell and buy a new or used Jerico with better gears sets for your intended use. There's a big difference in launching your car with 3-something 1st gear instead of a 2.66 or 2.88 1st gear. As far as those clutches, those are what will cause damage to the drivetrain as there have been tremendous improvements in clutch technology in the last decade. That doesn't mean your stuff is garbage, it's not. But again, there are plenty of people that will buy this stuff. My suggestion is to talk to Advanced or McLeod and make your decision based on their input based on what your ride and driving techniques. I'd suggest you place ad's for your parts on Moparts.com, here @ ClassRacer and especially on UMTR.com (United Manual Transmission Racers). Even e-bay may work for what you have. Call them "week 2" parts. Good luck!
