MY Friend has a 66 Chevy II with a V-8 engine MANUAL trans car---- the previous owner had what looks like auto trans headers cuz he had a hydraulic clutch set up in the car--my friend has removed the hydraulic set up and is installing the stock 66 Chevy II clutch linkage--- now the problem is that the back 2 tubes (5 &7) are hitting or will hit the tubes--- the headers he is using/wants to use are 1 7/8 diameter----we have spent a lot of time trying to figure a way to meke these headers fit WITHOUT cutting up the inner fenders etc....---this is a street car not gonna be a racer---anybody know who makes 1 7/8 headers for a stick car ??? not talking about a $1000 set either--- gimme some ideas please--are there stick and auto trans headers for these cars ya know different configuration to clear the clutch linkage--thanx FED387

Chevy II blocks are different than the others. the pivot ball location is moved and the stock bell crank is s shaped. Get ahold of Lynn Smith (Pontiac, Ill) , he deals in Nova parts.
