Default Cecil County new Concrete surface

I saw thay are pouring concrete at least 700' out. I heard rumors they may go the full 1320'. Anybody from that area hear anything? Should be nice either way.

Talked to Jim when we were setting up the Super Gas Association Schedules. Both return roads are re-paved and as Carl said they are pouring brand new concrete all the way to the 700 foot mark and the rest of the track will be brand new asphalt. Jim was hoping to make the whole 1320 concrete but, wasn't sure about funding at the time I talked to him so it looks like he went to 700 feet. Either way I think it will be a much needed improvement.

Glad to see they followed thru with the paving.
Cecil used to be a track I looked forward to running ,but the last few years,it's been one that I just hoped I made it thru the race without crashing or breaking something on the return road.
Looking pretty good now. Looks like 700' . Track website says Left lane is being poured on Thursday, and Right lane ,next Tuesday.
Sure hope they put in new burnout pads. , I almost ran over Lance last year when I got crossed up coming out of the water !
Thanks Jim & Cathy

Too bad they removed the tree house! Best seat in the house...

How about some bathrooms other than a portajohn and stuff like running water......

Even Island has had both for years......

If I have to spend a small fortune just to get there to race I'd like to be able to wash my hands once or twice.....LOL
