The Lunati's I bought had both, stamped into the face of the piston, "NHRA" and the part number. I'm not sure if every company does this, but I would bet that as long as the part number is on the approved list you should be good to go!

My CP pistons did not have an NHRA approved stamp on them, just the NHRA accepted number. My JE pistons all have the NHRA logo on them. You can run all sorts of off the shelf pistons from various manufacturers, many of whom do not even make a special piston for Stock Eliminator. So you do not need any sort of special marking.

Alan, I think if you have an aftermarket piston, not stock piston, without approved nhra # stamped on it, they would have you pull a piston out of the motor. Tom

Tom, I was referring to a special marking, like the NHRA logo on my JE pistons.
For example, my CP pistons just had C4CP on them. That's the NHRA approved number. If you put a set of Speed Pro/Federal Mogul/TRW pistons in, so long as they had the correct part number, I don't think they'd need a special marking.
