Default Class for 2011 Camaro SS/Street legal

Is it possible to drive one off of the street and onto the strip and run somewhat close to the standard?

not even close Bobby, unfortunately. And how about this, the street going versions of the mustangs and challengers aren't even in the guide

They are natural C cars, the 400hp automatic @3770 w driver in C/SA. The stick at 426hp weighs 4004 with driver. I would say with the cost to build a "competitive" version from scrathc, that anyone with the money would probably either a) build an older car, or b) build a DP/CJ.

As you can see by the HP factors and shipping weights, building one would be futile against the new factory cars.

I'm looking at a right out of the showroom Camaro -- straight from the factory. Sponsor would like for me to do that for the publicity. I guess there's nothing stock about a stock car.

Very true Bobby. About the only place you could possibly do that would be an unleashed event. run the 12.00 class

Not even close. You would have better luck getting a AVEO to run under the index.

What about IHRA pure stock? If it fit a class that would be a real good real world representation....Just a thought. I would like to see one for diversity among the new cars.

It would take some work to make one of those tanks run 12.00. I can't really tell they are any faster than an '01 or '02 LS1 Camaro/Firebird. And, I have driven a few. They are quieter & smoother.
