When building a crate engine, do I need to use the exact camshaft part number listed on the tech sheet in the engine build, or can I have a custom grind made with the same lift specs as stated on the tech sheet ? (with any duration)
Thanks

Get a custom grind. I've used both B & C brands from the Memphis area. Actual lift at the valve is all that is checked. Another tip: What ever brand rockers you use make sure they are not stamped with the ratio.
