hi guys, hopefully someone on the forum can help me out. i just got the engine for this car it is in long block forum. can someone educate me on oil pan gaskets and intake valley pan. i am used to working on chevrolets so this is greek to me. there is a oil spash sheild that bolts to the block before the oil pan. do you use any silicoe on it or just gaskets. how a bout the intake do you use a silicone bead under the valley pan on the block rails. please forgive me for being mopar dumb, i am learing to appreciate this car for what it is. thanks

I assume you are talking about the stock windage try? You are supposed to use a gasket on either side of it and for the intake I use the brush on sealer that is usually supplied with the valley pan. Felpro use to offer a paper type gasket for the sixpack intake also but I haven't seen one of those in ten years or so.

tjanks that helps, if anyone else has any tidbits for help let me know. this is a factory correct frame off resto not a all out stocker drag car so don't worry about me stealing your speed secrets.
