i know in this day and age of bogus / paper cars and killer combos it is often easy to not realize TRUE performance so i wanted to point this out...
11.40's in K/SA with a 40 year old beat to death combination with a 2 speed glide and a 435cfm 4 jet carb... 3 years ago i was so impressed by how nice that 66 chevelle was... and now im so impressed by how fast it is... quality car and people > wade and his son !!! jack mccarthy

Possibly the most powerful 283 stocker ever...as Barton seems to have trumped the Hemi's with a quantum leap, so has Owens done to 283's. Both causing much head scratching and back to the drawing boards for competitors

Can only imagine how high Wade is twisting that 283......very stout performance out of that combo. I'm sure there's a ton of work in that rocket........Great job. WJ

Very Impressive!
No inches, no valve size, no compression, not much carb, no cam lift, very little to work with, and a glide! Hats off! |

Thanks for all the compliments. They are very much appreciated! We have been working very hard and still need to sort a few things out.
![]() Clutch Man, no one has made it a rule for you to have a blanket. We did this on our own because of all the block sanding, block sanding and more block sanding. I do not want to scrape anything if something should happen. We are very proud of how the car looks and want to keep it that way! I want to thank Monster Energy and Justice Brothers for all the help ($ ![]() Wade O |
