Does anyone run a 68-72 Nova in SS? I can't remember the last time I noticed one. I'm just wondering about hood clearance with a small block combo.
Thanks, Tim |

Thanks for the info, Al. Getting the wild hair to do something again. If you don't mind me asking, what intake manifold are you running?
Thanks again, Tim |

Thanks for the info, Al. I agree with you on running a Q-Jet and the fuel system as I ran the same setup in stock and will definitely run the same in SS if I go that route.

I far as I know you can now lower the motor to get more hood clearance in regular SS. Tom

I have a 69 with the 255/290HP engine running in SS/IA. There is definately something with the carb/hood clearance. I ran a full year and bought 4 different carbs before I realized my problem was with the carb being too close to the hood. I raised the rear of the hood up to gain some clearance to check my theory and it solved my problem. Since that is not legal I went to a 1/2 inch spacer on the Victor E intake. That gave me adequate clearance.
