Wondering what you guys are using with these cars? Trying to find something that doesn't need to much modifying to make work. Any ideas?

Rick,
Terrance Smith from Florida, I thought you were gonna get back to me about the car....I got it ready to run in SS/IA or GT/EA, hope to hit the track with it around the first of the month and run at the race in Reynolds at the the end of July. Smitty oh as for brakes, I have the stock big 11 inch rotors on my car, have been looking into light weight alternatives but not sure what will work with 3300 lbs. |

Rick, You will have to swap out your spindles for ' 69 drum spindles for Strange discs, also for Wilwood,I believe. ....the early spindles also require the early tie rod ends also. .....Tom

I put the Wilwoods on my '71 by changing the spindles and outer tie rod ends. I used '68 drum brake spindles but I think any '67 to '70 drum spindles will work. Everything bolts right up, no problems, stops on a dime.

I have just installed the Strange kit for 65-69 Mustang on my Maverick drum brake spindle. The only modification required was to change to larger bearings. The cups share a common o.d. and will interchange in the hub....the 71-73 Mustang spindle diameter is the same as the Maverick I believe.
