When I changed the cam in the motor for my truck, I used Crane hydraulic lifters. I checked, and every one had a crown. I soaked them in brake cleaner to remove the cosmoline and used the supplied lube (Crane cam too). Don't put the lube on the sides of the lifters - just the face. I used Valvoline VR1 SAE30 plus a pint of GM EOS to break it in.
