I'd suggest at least a two step header, with the 1st step 1 7/8", and the second 2", each step between 15" and 17". A set of Stahls will likely be the best value for your dollar. If you want the absolute best, they say Calvin Elston's are it. They're twice as high as Stahls, we haven't tried them yet, but fast people I know swear by them. We have Stahls.

Wade, I would be interested in the cherry heads as well.....email me info@proheadersystems.com
As far as the headers go, I would recommend a three step. It will help with the weight. The chevelle is not a camaro. In my experiences, you will need all the help you can get from the primary step tubes to get the weight moving. The trick to the big block chevy header is ALL IN THE FLANGES. WE spend over two hours working on the flanges and they are already CNC pieces to begin. Chassis1 |
