Tim Sloan engines
I am just a bracket racer that loves stock & super/stock. It seems Tim has a great reputation for not only building fast motors but motors thast seem to last!
I was thinking about calling him to build me a mild bracket motor, i figure if he can get class motors to last as long as he does than he should get a mild bracket motor to last a LONG time. Just looking for input/suggestions from everyone who has any experience/dealings with Tim. |

Re: Tim Sloan engines
I have had work done by Tim and found him to be the nicest and most helpful guy in the business. Always priced right and honest, I would highly recommend him.

Re: Tim Sloan engines
Spent a lot of time and many dollars w Tim .Trust me he does know his stuff and does build strong and fast motors that last. His slogan is " I will sell any motor out of any of my cars at anytime" Nice family to work with too.

Re: Tim Sloan engines
If you have run a Sloan engine, just curious how many passes you did put on it before you had it freshen?

Re: Tim Sloan engines
I've won two IHRA Stock World Championships, a Bracket Finals, multiple IHRA Division Championships, set multiple IHRA National Records, and in just three starts have won an NHRA Divisional and a National in Super Stock all with Sloan Engines. I regularly bracket race my car, and double-enter at big-money bracket events -- ran myself in the finals of the World Footbrake Challenge in 2008.
I've put well over 400 runs on them before freshening. Typically the only reason I take 'em apart in the first place is just to upgrade something. Quite honestly, I don't change the oil nearly as often as he would probably like, either, but never had a problem. I run CAM2 Blue Blood Racing Oil 0W30 full synthetic (high zinc content) and K&N filters. Tim is honest, hard-working, friendly, and helpful. (He also won the IHRA Div. 9 Stock Championship himself this year!)
