Racers those of you who have first-hand experience with Viking shocks.
Tell me about your experience. What is the story behind Viking? Do we know any of the principal partners/owners? |

Chris King (Vi-king) came from QA1. He started Viking after a separation from QA1 after the owner changed the upper management. The companies are a couple of miles apart.

Larry I can't give you 1st hand experience with them but what I can tell you is that they are not Afco nor Santhuff shocks and their price point reflects that.

Sorry, not first hand but my son has Viking shocks on his drag and drive car (10.40s)
He has been pleased with the shocks and with Viking's support. He thinks they are a good value. Bill |

I run the Viking Warrior on the rear of my I/S stick car, 1.52 60s, half the price of AVCOs, run FAST on the front. A lot of the No Prep cars run Vikings. If you call chris they will do valving for your set up.

No surprise your local wannabes are but you can bet the farm not one of the competitors competing in the invitational in No Prep Kings Series is running Viking shocks.

I had Viking shocks on a backhalf 67 Camaro. 3350lbs 1.38 60' They couldn't control the wheelstand bounce. Randy Manns and Fastshocks did.

I run them in the rear, but I run stock leaf springs and don't make any power.
I have not had any issues with customer service or quality. Jerry |

Speaking from personal experience recently, (2 months ago), once you mount Viking shocks, even for mocking up fitment, you void your ability to return shocks. Even if you do not run them down the track. In addition there is a 15% restocking fee! Not racer friendly. Ended up eating cost and going with Randy Manns.
