Default F-body short trailing arms, Pete Z bars and etc...

Hey all I am new here and not really sure where to post things. I have been looking for info on these types of short trailing arms for the late model f-body on a few of the boards related to them in general, and a couple guys pointed me this way stating that the super stock guys run them and would have more details. I have search this forum and haven't found much on them other then there is another guy here doing similar bars, Joe Russell...

My biggest question is how reliable are they and can you complete do without the torque arm when using them? I have read many things where it is recommended to run the torque arm as a "just in case" measure if something may break, but over the years I have not heard of anyone breraking anything...

Any feedback on these types of bars would be helpful, thanks.
