Default RIP Stefan Kondolay

One of the most accomplished racers around here especially for his young age (doubled up as divisional champ in S/C & S/G), I think he also had a T/S division championship, and was building a Stock Eliminator truck. Stefan was shot and killed last night in his home. Rest in peace my friend.

Truly sad news. I didn't know Stefan personally, but certainly knew the name and of his accomplishments. Didn't he also have a daughter that was a junior dragster racer. I am sure the news is spreading quickly throughout the racing community. Thoughts and prayers for the family at this difficult time.

Is this the same Steve that was involved with DTT?

I think Stefan was Bill Kondolay's son. Bill runs DTT.

Shot and killed? Geez, that is extremely rare around here for normal citizens. I hope that didn't involve anyone else into racing.
He sure did accomplish quite a bit in his few short years.

I didn't know he was building a Stocker truck. That would have been cool to see.

Yes, Stefan was Bill's son, and they run DTT. He was a "Jr parent" as well, and I always assumed that was his daughter, but just learned this weekend that she was the daughter of his then-girlfriend (they split up last year). He was a great dad to that girl whether they were related by blood or not.

They announced that there will be a memorial service and parade lap in Stefan's memory at the Mission Raceway LODRS event in September.
